Rebecca Yarros is the #1 New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of more than twenty novels, including Fourth Wing and In the Likely Event. She has won the British Book Award for Book of the Year and the American Library Association's Alex Award. She loves military heroes and has been married to hers for over twenty years; she's a mom of six, and when she isn't writing you'll find her at the hockey rink or sneaking in some guitar time. She lives in Colorado with her family, their stubborn English bulldogs, two chinchillas and a Maine Coon named Artemis.
Threshing Day (out September 29, 2026) is a companion collection, not the continuation of Violet and Xaden's story after Onyx Storm. In the Empyrean world, Threshing is the brutal trial where first-year riders at Basgiath fight to earn the bond of a dragon. The book gathers thirteen of those stories, from Xaden, Rhiannon, Dain, Liam, Ridoc, Sawyer, Garrick, Imogen, Bodhi, Mira, Brennan, Aaric and Sloane, with original illustrations by Joe Requeza. The publisher says it's best read after Onyx Storm, since it contains spoilers.
